Originally released in 2002 on Rodent Popsicle Records (with a vinyl reissue later arriving courtesy of Welfare Records), 13 The Hard Way is a standout full-length delivery of uncompromising American Oi! and street punk from Boston’s own Tommy & The Terrors. Recorded at the regional institution Galaxy Park Studios by engineer Richard Marr, the album successfully pairs the aggressive, blue-collar stomp of classic UK Oi! legends like Cock Sparrer and Blitz with the bruising, high-velocity anthems popularized by New England hardcore predecessors like The Bruisers. Driven by direct, anthemic gang-vocal hooks, snarling delivery, and sharp, melodic guitar leads, the record captures a distinct moment in the early-2000s East Coast punk scene. It relies entirely on working-class frustrations and high-energy songwriting rather than studio gimmicks, maintaining a completely focused and uninhibited pacing across all thirteen tracks
