Released on October 22, 2012, by Relapse Records, Book Burner is the fifth studio full-length from Virginia’s grindcore icons Pig Destroyer. Marking their first album in five years following 2007’s Phantom Limb, the record serves as a spectacular, back-to-basics return to the rapid-fire, sub-minute structural chaos that defined Prowler in the Yard. It also marks the thunderous studio debut of powerhouse drummer Adam Jarvis (of Misery Index), who injects a technical, hyper-accelerated battery into the band’s rhythm section.
