Originally released in 2005 through Rodent Popsicle Records, 30 Blasts From The Past serves as a comprehensive, remastered career retrospective of the foundational 1990s material from Seattle, Washington street-punk and hardcore mainstays Bristle. This compilation brings together the band’s early catalog, including their blistering 1992 debut 7″ EP Fired From Life on Pot Pie Records alongside 1994’s highly sought-after The System EP originally put out by Havoc Records. Steeped in the socio-political frustration of the Pacific Northwest scene and heavily channeling the aggressive rhythmic momentum of Subhumans, Discharge, and classic West Coast hardcore, the release preserves an essential era of underground political punk. Essential cuts such as Officer Right, System, and Humanity underscore the band’s trademark vocal snarl and rapid, continuous d-beat drive.
