War//Plague – “On a darker dawn”

On a Darker Dawn is the 2012 debut full-length studio album from Minneapolis crust punk band War//Plague. Released as a 12-inch vinyl LP via Profane Existence Records, the physical record was pressed on standard black vinyl alongside a limited gold variant.

Formed by veterans of the Twin Cities underground scene, the band used this album to expand upon the metallic crust template set by their early 7-inch singles and split records. The music relies heavily on driving d-beat patterns, downtuned guitar work, and socio-political themes, taking clear structural cues from regional crust legends Misery.
