Die Chiwawadie / Struggle Session – Split

Die!ChiwawaDie! / Struggle Session is a 2017 split full-length album showcasing two prominent forces in the Chinese underground punk landscape: Guangzhou-based noise punk outfit Die!ChiwawaDie! and Beijing-based fastcore unit Struggle Session. Released as a 12-inch vinyl LP, the physical record was co-released and distributed via a collaboration between DIY labels Genjing Records and Qiii Snacks Records.

The album pairs two distinct, chaotic approaches to modern Chinese hardcore. Side A features Struggle Session, who deliver a relentless, frantic blast of fastcore and power-violence, utilizing spastic time signatures and aggressive dual vocals. Flipping to Side B, Die!ChiwawaDie! shifts the dynamic into an experimental, female-fronted noise punk style, balancing abrasive dissonance with subtle post-punk textures and localized indie hooks.
