Burn Burn Burn – “Chosen Family”

Chosen Family is the 2019 full-length studio album from Seattle-based pop punk and hardcore punk band Burn Burn Burn. The physical 12-inch vinyl LP pressing was handled via a multi-label DIY cooperative featuring Tiny Dragon Music, Bypolar Records, Asteroid M Records, and Stars At Night. The record’s first pressing was distributed across a blood-red vinyl with black smoke variant along with a wide-release mixed color configuration.

The record matches aggressive, high-velocity skate punk tempos with anthemic pop punk vocal dynamics. Tracked and mixed at Oneandahalfbastards Studio in Seattle by engineer Tony Fantozzi, the music frequently incorporates frantic time changes, melodic guitar breakdowns, and heavy gang vocals. The arrangements bridge multiple subgenres, varying from the raw, street-punk snarl of “Sharks” to the chaotic fastcore outbursts of “Fugue State” and occasional acoustic instrumentation.
