Apogee (Reissue) is the expanded edition of the heavy, weed-themed sludge/stoner metal release by Madison, Wisconsin’s Bongzilla, reissued in April 2004 through Relapse Records. While the original 2000 release contained only the three core studio tracks, this definitive version tacks on four raw, crushing live recordings captured at underground festival appearances.
The definitive modern reissue of Apogee was released as a 12″ vinyl EP in early 2020 through the band’s own newly formed label, Gungeon Records (with distribution help from Crash Assailant Records and Flail Records), and later pressed internationally by Totem Cat Records. Remastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Mastering and pressed at Cascade Record Pressing, this special edition brought the record back to vinyl for the first time in nearly 20 years with updated cover artwork by gERM.
